Helvetia Church.  The Zion Presbyterian Church in Helvetia.  Located in a remote area of Randolph County, WV, Helvetia was originally settled by Swiss immigrants, and many of their customs survive to this day.

This image was published in the August, 1999, issue of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.

Barn and Yellow Flowers.  This "barn sized" gap in these wildflowers presented a nice composition, and a wide angle lens was used to emphasize the flowers and maintain depth of field.  Near Kidwell in Tyler County, WV.

A vertical composition of this scene was published on the back cover of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.

Oil Ridge Sunrise.  Early morning sun rays stream through this magnificent, ancient oak tree on Oil Ridge in Tyler County, WV.

Appeared as the center spread in the July 2000 issue of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.

Klondike Ridge Farm.  Brilliant fall foliage from Klondike Ridge in Tyler County, WV.  One of my favorite and most successful images.

Featured on the cover of Easton Printing Company's 2001 "Scenes of West Virginia" calendar, and has been published in Wonderful West Virginia magazine.  This image also adorns the walls of several businesses and homes as a framed print.

Hikers, Dolly Sods.  The West Virginia Highlands Conservancy asked me to produce a photo for the cover of the 7th edition of their excellent Monongahela National Forest Hiking Guide.  I chose Dolly Sods as the location for the Hiking Guide cover shot, as this wilderness area represents the best in hiking in the Mountain State.  I scouted this location the week before I was to meet the models for the shoot.  Fortunately, the weather cooperated (although we almost froze to death), and this photo was used for the cover.  Special thanks to Catherine Reinhardt of Keswick, VA, and Helen Payne of Morgantown, WV, for volunteering as models.

Sugar Grove Farm.  Framed by the rugged eastern West Virginia mountains of Pendleton County, this picturesque farm is typical of the small farms in this region of the state.

Published in the October 2000 issue of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.  This image is also used by the FBI center, located near Clarksburg, WV, as part of a plaque presented to visiting dignitaries.

Red Barn, Winter.  The combination of red, white, and blue makes this a very nice image.  I have photographed this barn in every season from various angles, and have also had a summer photo of it published.  Located in Tyler County, WV.

This photo was published on the inside front cover of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.

Gaudineer Knob Sunrise.  This scenic view is from Gaudineer Knob in Randolph County, WV.  A short hike from the parking area leads to this overlook.

Published as the center spread in the September, 1998, issue of Wonderful West Virginia magazine.  I've sold more prints of this image than any other.
